MORE ABOUT US

Hi! I’m Gregg, the Advsior and sole employee of BenefitsLife.

I got started in the Benefits business in 2020, after successful careers in office equipment and advertising.

Working in my previous roles, I met with hundreds of businesspeople in the Northern Interior, and learned that the majority of the businesses and organizations are pretty small – with fewer than 10 employees.

Small businesses play a vital role in the Canadian economy. In fact, as of 2024, businesses with 1 to 19 employees represented 91.2% of all employer businesses.

In reality, nearly 55% of small businesses operate with just 1 to 4 employees, and about 75% have fewer than 10 employees.

The general breakdown of business sizes in the country includes:

  • Micro-enterprise: 1 to 4 employees
  • Small business: 1 to 99 employees
  • Medium-sized business: 100 to 499 employees
  • Large business: 500 or more employees

So if the majority of businesses are small businesses, and 75% of those small businesses have fewer than 10 employees, why, then, do so many advisors and companies focus on businesses with 50-100 employees?

Like me, if you have a small business, you’re probably doing most of the “behind-the-scenes” work yourself. You don’t have a dedicated “HR” person or “Plan Administrator”. And your focus is on your own customers, business logistics, and keeping revenues flowing. You don’t have the time or desire to learn a new website or portal, keep track of another username and password, or commit all the details of your Benefits Plan and its operation to memory.

That’s where I come in. I will add new employees to your Plan, terminate employees that leave your business, provide education and support to your staff, and help file individual claims for them.

I supply physical wallet cards and Benefits booklets to you and your staff, and I am happy to answer phone calls, text messages, or emails from your employees asking about coverage.

You won’t get that level of service from just any other advisor.

If you’re tired of hearing “you have to go to the website” or “that’s all on-line”, then you need to move your Plan over to me. I am dedicated to simplifying your employees’ experience and will go out of my way to make sure you and your staff get what you pay for (I have been known to stand on the running board of a truck to get a signature on a claim form from a driver).

My amazing wife Jessica and I call Prince George home. We’re both “imports” to the city and province, but we have absolutely fallen in love with where we live! What’s most amazing to us is how much wilderness and wildlife we have within 10 minutes of the house! And if we can’t get enough wilderness at home, we have a small lake property on Nulki Lake near Vanderhoof.

Off hours, you’ll find our dog Maxxie and I walking in the neighbourhood, hiking on the trails at the end of the Domano Forest Service Road, or exploring property out at the farm.

I enjoy mountainbiking and fatbiking, and have a full stable of bikes (one for every occasion).

Over the years, I’ve been involved in lots of different activities, from drag racing to triathlon, from fraternal organizations to City committees and not-for-profit organizations. I’ve learned lots and met some really fantastic people. These rich experiences help me do a better job for you.
